I’ve always been frustrated handling wet bathing suits and sandy towels. As someone who frequents the beach, it’s a pain to worry about these wet, dirty items possibly damaging any technology or ruining other items in my bag or car.

What stood out to me the most about Aloha Collection products is that they are splash-proof. The brand suggests that anything stored inside the bag will be protected from a light splash, light rain, or a cocktail spillage. While they are transparent in saying the products are not able to protect items from complete submersion, I was still skeptical about how splash-proof it really is. What does “light rain” really mean? A little sprinkle? Will my items remain dry for a few seconds after being in the rain, or will the material and non-watertight zipper fail to protect them? My hesitation blended into curiosity and led me into answering my own questions.

I just bought all of the different sizes and used them for my 10 day trip in the USA. I was organized, the bags traveled easily because of their flexibility and I just love the print.

After browsing through the 96+ products of bags and pouches of various sizes, I ended up purchasing the $42 Mid Mas Palmas Pouch in Cerulean. I love the simple design and size of the bag. I had high hopes for its splash-proof material and being able to contain all the items I normally take to the beach or pool.

My first impression of the product was how slick and lightweight the material is. It has a plasticky feel and is quite thin, which is just what I expected. I immediately tested the product by lightly pouring water on it. Its plastic-like material allowed me to easily wipe any liquid off of the bag. The items inside were not damaged because, per the instructions, I didn’t attempt to submerge the pouch and test the zipper and seam. Read more on how to clean your product here.

The pouch was able to fit all of my beach necessities: a dirty bathing suit, small paperback book, flip flops, sunglasses and sunscreen. The only missing item was my towel. However, the brand offers a collection of totes which are guaranteed to fit a large towel and more!

The thin material is great for packing and keeping items organized. Aside from the design, my favorite part is that I can store a wet bathing suit, sandy towel or post-workout activewear and not be concerned about stinking up my car or getting anything dirty. When traveling, my items are protected from any accident-prone toiletries and clothes free from any dirty laundry.
